Booking & Arrival
Our cottages are available to let from Saturday to Saturday or Friday to Friday for full week bookings but we are flexible when booking a short break. Please check the cottage details for this information, and should also it will be available when making the booking. Short breaks are available out of season, outside of Easter, the summer holidays, Christmas and New Year.
Cottages are available from 4 pm on the day of arrival and the cottage should be available for cleaning by 10 am on the day of departure please. Telephone or e-mail bookings can be taken to provisionally book your cottage and we ask you to send written confirmation, in order to secure the reservation within 7 working days, together with a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total booking costs for each week booked please.
Final payment is required 8 weeks before your holiday starts. We are delighted that we have visitors from out of the UK, and of course payment should be made in pounds sterling. CHAPS payments are preferred. However if transfers from foreign banks incur bank charges which are payable by the cottage owners, these fees are payable by our visitors to the cottage owners on arrival. As the charges can vary from bank to bank and from currency to currency the cottage owners will provide an invoice for payment and evidence of the charges incurred to the visitor on arrival.
Do’s & Don’ts
The cottages are for non-smokers please. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome for a small additional charge of £30 per dog per week. However, please don’t leave them unattended at the cottages. They are allowed downstairs but not on the sofas and chairs please! Also, please don’t allow your dog to use the garden as a toilet, so that children using it are always safe.
Please note: Dogs are not permitted at The Boathouse, Ty Gwilym, Bwthyn Lil and Bwthyn Gwe.
We recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover the risk of cancellation. We will always refund rent if we can re-let the cottage(s); however, if we can’t, we will not be able to make refunds for cancellations within eight weeks of arrival.
We are not able to accept liability for any personal injury or theft during the period of your stay. If, for any reason, a cottage is not available on the day, a full refund will be provided; however, we are not able to refund more than the price of the rental.
Our guests are responsible for any breakages and/or damage to the property that may occur during the holiday and are responsible for:
- keeping the property in good condition.
- making any complaints directly to the owner immediately the problem arises, so that it can be solved as quickly as possible.
- providing the owner with the right of access, if required
